Our Team & Experience

Mercia was founded by Richard Lambe in 1998. Our Experience is drawn from over 20 years in areas including accounting, taxation, business advisory, finance and property.

Mercia has experience in accounting, taxation, business advisory and corporate advice. Our staff have qualifications including bachelor of commerce, bachelors of business, Graduate Diploma in Accounting, Certified Practising Accountant, Public Practice & Financial Planning qualifications with CPA Australia, proper authority holder of a Australia Financial Services Licensee with authorities to deal & advise in securities, license in finance broking and a member of various professional associations.

We take positions on boards of directors of 3 companies, a Venture Capital Company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange that specialises in the investment pre-ipo companies, past investments have included manufacturing and movie making. We also sit on the board of Property Funds Management Company as a responsible officer.

Mercia experience is drawn from: Government - the Australian Taxation Office; Various Public Practices including big 4; Commerce including Mount King Mining (now wholly owned by Sipa Resources), Wescorp International (former subsidiary of Wesfarmers). and Property related businesses.

Our expertise has involved assisiting clients in all aspect, some include:

Business purchase/sale/closure - We have worked with Companies and liquidators/administrators to negotiate and structure the purchase of businesses, in various stages of their lifecylc, including in administration for the benefit of a client. We have worked with creditors implementing and assisting in all stage of administration/part 10 and liquidation.
Business Expansion (equity/finance) - Our commercial financing expertise and capital raising (stock market or private equity raising) has enabled us to facilitate expansion of clients businesses.
In specie distribution - the restructure of business structures to minimise taxes and increase asset protection.
Property Development - assistance in entity structuring, financing, private funds raising, and all tax and corporate compliance.
Business ASIC, and Taxation - all aspects of compliance obligations.
Current client Industries include: ASX Listed Investment, Property Developers, Building & Construction, Architects, Fishing, Farmers, Mining Drillers & Contractors, Engineering, Contractors, Importers/Exporters/Shipping Agents, Doctors, Veterinarians, Retailers(Motor Vehicle Dealers, Furniture, etc), etc.

We have experience in corporate tax advisory of larger listed companies but also small and medium sized businesses.

Accountants

Our team includes senior accountants who provide advice and direct telephone contact support to our clients on all matters incolving, tax, corporate secretarial accounting and business advisory. Our intermediary and graduates assist in all routine tax compliance. We pride ourselves on assisting our clients achieiving their goals and being a life line support for business advise.
