Why use a Mortgage Broker?
We are occasionally asked “Why use a mortgage broker if you offer the same products as the banks?”
Here are a few reasons.
- We will help you select the correct product for your individual requirements from hundreds of products from over 15 lenders.
- The first bank you go to may offer a loan, but another institution may offer you a more suitable product and or cheaper product.
- A bank may decline your application due only to the way your circumstances are presented.
- We do all the paperwork for you and liaise with the bank on your behalf.
- If your loan is declined by a bank and you try another you may be declined just because you have already tried somewhere else. Any application shows up on your credit history, and stays for 5 years. Mortgage brokers can independently pre qualify you with any or many banks without the bank checking your credit history.
- If you have credit problems we can help you to fix that before going to the institutions. A bank won’t do that.
- A mortgage broker can liaise with your accountant to ensure you get right product for future tax planning.
- We may be able to help with loan structuring to get you into that home or investment you thought you couldn’t afford yet.
- Your preferred or existing lender may not be giving you the best deal. How would you know without professional help?
- A bank won’t tell you to try another institution to get a better deal - we will.
